Makai Beach Lodge Ormond Beach, Ormond Beach

My stay was mixed. On one hand, the beach access was wonderful, and the room service was great. However, the cleanliness of the room was a letdown. There was debris everywhere, and I felt like I needed to clean more than just the sand. The hotel has potential but definitely needs some improvements.

I had another lovely visit to this hotel, and I’m truly grateful for the kind staff and the comfort of the room for my family, including our pets. The beach was beautiful, and the pool was a fun and relaxing spot. While the AC in our room needed some quick repairs, the staff addressed it promptly, and we enjoyed our stay overall. The proximity to local stores made things very convenient, although a few updates to the facilities would have been nice.

However, the room condition left much to be desired as it felt dated and not as clean as I had hoped. While I enjoyed some amenities, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my expectations.

I had a pretty rough experience here. The place definitely needs a lot of updating and maintenance. The staff was nice, and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub, but the overall condition of the property was disappointing. I was forced to deal with plumbing issues and a broken air conditioner, which made my stay uncomfortable. Given how old and noisy the rooms were, I wouldn't want to stay here again, especially during a busy time like New Year's.

Overall, I would say this hotel has a really great location and amazing staff, which made for a comfortable stay. However, there are definitely some issues that need to be addressed, like the behavior of certain guests that went unchecked and some maintenance concerns. The facilities offer some nice features, but it feels like they could really tighten up rules to enhance everyone's experience.
